Crawfordsville, Ind. - Mrs. Georgia Cooper, 72, of 111 W. College, died at noon Saturday, (Nov. 17, 1973) at Culver Hospital. She had been ill about a year. She was born Dec. 7, 1900, in Fountain County, the daughter of John C. and Stella Berry Krug. She was married July 3, 1919, to C. O. Cooper, who survives. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Crawfordsville, Wingate Order of Eastern Star and Smartsburg Home Economics Club. Other survivors include a son, John W. of Covington; a daughter, Mrs. William Burkett of Crawfordsville; a brother, Herbert L. Krug of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace Tague of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Byrle Parks in California; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Tuesday at the Powers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Wingate. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 today.


Mrs. Georgia Cooper, 72, of 111 W. College St., died at 12:32 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital. She had lived at Wingate until 1945 when she moved to Tab and resided there until 1967 when she moved to Crawfordsville. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Smartsburg Extension Club, Trinity United Methodist Church, Builders Class, WSCS and 50-year member of the Wingate Eastern Star. Mrs. Cooper was born Dec. 7, 1900 in Fountain County, a daughter of John C. and Stella Berry Krug. She was educated in Fountain County Schools. She was married to C. O. Cooper on July 3, 1919. He survives. Other survivors include a son, John W. of Covington; a daughter, Mrs. William (Ellen) Burkett of Crawfordsville; a brother, Herbert L. Krug of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace (Mabel) Tague of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Byrle (Frances) Parks of Menlo Park, Calif.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Powers Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Jump officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Wingate. Friends may call after 3 o'clock today. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
